As our first Christmas with Little Miss is about to transpire, I am filled with more anxiety than excitement. As the Doom and Gloom PS-Mapp adoption classes firmly planted in my brain, your most exciting moments will be their most terrified. Little Miss has certainly had a hard time this week. Reflective, overwhelmed, and outright sad. We have managed to turn that frown upside down every time but one. Tomorrow marks the first Bates family Christmas. The presents are wrapped and under the tree.
There will be stories and memories abundant from tomorrow, I am sure. But for now, as this daunting task of turning Christmas into a magical and loving day of family looms, I want to wish all my family and friends the Merriest Christmas of all. For all the support and love and time and advice and shoulders to lean on, Thank You.
I am so proud of you and Daddy for how hard you have been working to prepare Little Miss for her first real Christmas. She is so lucky to have such awesome parents! Just commit to memory all the precious moments and let the not-so-precious moments fly by. Love you all!
